Return of the FLL Hit-A-Thon
Have fun and help FLL raise funds!Updated Thursday June 15, 2017 by Franklin Little League.
While Franklin Little League is committed to keeping league costs down, we also recognize in order to make some of your improvement suggestions a reality, we need to fundraise. Last year, the Hit-A-Thon was a rousing success and was a lot of fun for all involved! We raised money to fix our badly damaged parking lot and to buy and install a FLL Complex road sign (in the near future). So, we decided to do it again this year, with hopes of getting money for new scoreboards and other field improvements.
2017 FLL Hit-A-Thon Fundraiser
Each athlete is asked to obtain sponsors – family, friends, relatives and neighbors. They can do this in person, by phone, e-mail, etc. It is not recommended to go door to door. Safety is our top priority!
Money can be a flat donation or in $1.00 increments per hit. Each athlete should attempt to raise a minimum of $50.00. But, there is also a $25.00 per player opt-out fee available for those who do not want to solicit sponsors.
During a regular team practice, coaches will allot some time to deliver 10 pitches to each athlete. The manager will than record how many hits were made on the athlete’s sheet.
Athletes should then collect their sponsorship money. Please note, one check per athlete/form, made payable to Franklin Little League, would be appreciated. Forms and money are due back to the team manager no later than June 29, 2017. This is a great way to incorporate practice, fun, and fund-raising in one!
Wait! There's more!
All athletes who collect at least $50.00 in pledges will be entered into a drawing for FLL apparel, FLL concession stand treats, and more!
The team that raises the most money in all divisions will receive a pizza party after a scheduled game.
And, the athletes who raise the most money in each division will be invited to participate in a formal FLL Hit-A-Thon. This event is tentatively scheduled for August 13, 2017. These athletes will be eligible to receive medals or trophies based on their performance at the event.
